About Us

Our Story
It all started with a simple question: How can we bring joy to someone who feels forgotten?
In 2004, a group of counsellors and social workers came together to support older persons who were quietly struggling—lonely, grieving, or losing their sense of purpose. Many were facing anxiety or depression with no clear way forward.
And so, O’Joy was born—not just as a service provider, but as a companion to those going through life’s most difficult seasons.

Since then, our work has grown. We support older persons through counselling and case management, help caregivers cope with stress, and offer mental health services to adults in need. Our Health-Oriented Ageing (HOA) programme keeps seniors active and connected through daily group activities, while Bring O’Joy Home (BOH) brings these sessions online to home-bound seniors.

In April 2020, we strengthened our governance by becoming O’Joy Limited, a Company Limited by Guarantee—ensuring we remain accountable and future-ready.

Today, we journey with over 800 individuals each year. With the continued support of our community, we remain committed to walking alongside those who need us.
To bring Oceans of Joy to those we serve.
