We have the following Voluntary Opportunities for you. Do join our big family for an enriching journey of giving and through it, experience happiness, fulfilment and love!

Fundraising Services

Volunteers are needed to participate in the Street Sales of "JOYous_Love_2011". Please register as street-sales volunteers for 30 Jan and 27 Feb 2011 and report to O’Joy Care Services at 8.30am for briefing.

In FY 09/10, in view of the challenging economic situation, the main fund raising event was restricted to the Flag Day and Pledge Card. This event raised a total of $37,803.

Para Counselling Services

Our team of trained para counsellors make regular visits to the older persons’ house. Many of these older persons are coming to terms with the process of aging and maybe struggling with issues of grief and loss. Through their interaction and communication, the volunteers bring cheer, warmth and comfort to these elderly persons.

We provide a comprehensive training programme, good support and structured supervision for our volunteer para-counsellors. You will be trained and guided by professional Social Workers and Counsellors with many years of experience in the field. The voluntary work will be an exciting personal journey of growth and awareness. Do join us!

Outreach Services

Our outreach team aims to raise awareness of our services amongst older persons, especially residents in our HDB heartland. We work work with grassroot organisations, religious organizations and other VWOs.

In FY 09/10, we participated in 8 outreach events organized by grassroot organisations, Singapore Buddhist Federation and TRANS Family Services. We have also organized 2 outreach lunch for the older residents living around Upper Boon Keng area so as to raise their awareness of our services.
